We are proud to announce that three posters submitted by children at First Realty managed properties have been selected as national winners in the 2013 NAHMA Drug-Free Kid Calendar Contest!
From press release: “The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) recently judged its 27th annual “AHMA Drug-Free Kid” poster art and calendar contest. Almost 5,000 children, elderly/disabled and special needs residents of NAHMA-member affordable housing communities nationwide participated in the contest. In addition to the drug-free message, this year’s contest had a new sub-theme that reinforces a message about the importance of family and friends: We are One Family: “Friends Make the World a Nicer Place.””
National winners whose artwork will appear in the 2014 calendar receive scholarships of $1,000 from the Foundation.
This year, of the ten posters selected from the First Realty participating properties, six were chosen by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) as regional contest winners, which were then entered in the nation competition.
Congratulations to all of the participants, all of the winners, and everyone who works so hard to make this competition possible.
